~ CHOOSING YOUR PRESSURE PLATE OPTIONS ~
As most of you are aware, the OEM J-series platform came with weak self adjusting fingers, with many times the higher HP customer snapping or bending the fingers once they get beyond a certain power finger or drive the vehicle aggressively. Spec has addressed this by developing a Billet Non-Ratcheting, Non self adjusting pressure plate option. In most cases if you choose to go with the much stronger revised billet pressure plate (the non ratcheting style) it will be mandatory to also run Spec's lightweight flywheel. This is the same setup we have ran in Bertha, our R&D Daily Driven J35a7 Turbo 7th Gen Accord for the last 35k miles. We've had ZERO issues with the clutch since install and holding power at the level we are at (550whp for 35k miles, utilizing the Spec 3+ Clutch with Revised Non Ratcheting Pressure Plate + Spec LW Flywheel).
Do not get us wrong, even the Spec OEM style pressure plate (self adjusting style) are still extremely robust and hold great powe, as you'll see in the Spec clutch power level per stage graph below.

Ourselves and many, many racing team and even 1000+whp J-Series vehicles have run Spec Clutches for years. The quality is second to known and the available different options and stages make them unrivaled for any setup you may have, for daily 300whp NA, 400+ Nitrous, Daily 500+ Forced Induction, all the way up to 1000+whp dedicated Drag cars.
Personally our Shop/R&D/Daily Driven 06' Accord Coupe 6mt is making 550whp for the last 35k miles and the ENTIRE TIME has rans the same Spec 3+ Clutch and LW Flywheel. We may be a little biased being we run the 3+, but we must say that not only ourselves but many other including partnering shops and freinds also run the Spec 3+ Revised Pressure Plate + LW Flywheel setup and it drive almost as stock, with only a very slightly heavier clutch pedal feel...BUT HOLD 679 FT LBS OF TORQUE! That's unheard of, usually to hold that amount of power you need a twin disk or super stiff pressure plate (aka stiff pedal) but Spec was able to get around this by revising out the weaker stock OEM self adjusting fingers on the pressure plate.

WE OFFER A NO HASSLE RETURN POLICY ON ANY PARTS WITHIN THE FIRST (28) DAYS OF YOUR PURCHASE. ALL PARTS MUST BE RETURNED IN THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITION, PACKAGING AND NEVER INSTALLED. - FOR TUNING ORDERS, NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED UNLESS NO TUNING OR REVISIONS HAVE BEEN STARTED. AFTER OUR FIRST REVISION/TUNE IS SENT TO OUR CUSTOMER VIA EMAIL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ALLOWED OR AUTHORIZED. THIS APPLIES FOR BOTH SINGLE SESSION (TUNE TILL RIGHT) AND LIFETIME TUNES.
- There are no returns accepted for any Port and Polish parts, due to the parts being modified and unable to be returned to their stock/original condition. There is no exception to this policy...EVER.
- If the customer selected to have HalferLand Performance source/provide a core part(s) and chooses to cancel their order prior to shipping or starting the modifications/porting, a 20% part cost restocking/sourcing fee will be assessed from the credit/return. Example, the core part provided cost $100, a 20% Restock/Sourcing fee of $20 will be deducted from the credit of the order. This is due to our cost to source, purchase, clean the part and now the order being cancelled, we now are forced to sit on the part with direct order being associated with it or that we can use it for.
- Order Cancelling may be done prior to the start of any modification or work and before shipping. If the parts modifications has already been begun or the parts has shipped, then the order cannot be canceled and will be filled/finished accordingly. If its a non PnP part and the order ships, the customer is responsible for returning the part/order using their preferred carrier. Our (28) Day Return Policy guidelines remain, parts must be returned in original packaging, never installed, modified or damaged.
