PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
In our never ending goal to offer this Honda/Acura J-Series platform the best designed, highest power gaining, quality, yet affordable parts possible, we cut zero corners with our HLP 4" to 3" High Velocity Dry Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake.
We utilized the much more superior dry molding process to offer the strongest and lightest carbon fiber intake possible. Our HLP 4" Carbon Fiber Cold Air intakes are made of Pre-Impregnated carbon fiber sheets and then molded in a custom billet aluminum press, NOT vacuum bag pressed or hand painted wet molding as most carbon fiber automotive parts. The Billet aluminum vacuum mold then forms to a complete seal, eliminating any chance of pin holes or air pockets, as a wet molded carbon part can leave. Wet molding also leaves a much heavier end part then the dry carbon molding process we use (Wet= hand layered and epoxy applied with brush), meaning you will not find a lighter weight true 4" Interior Dimension J-Series Cold air intake on the market. This dry molding process we utilize is the same as all major Aerospace grade Carbon Fiber manufactures use, with us also opting to utilize the strongest 2x2 Twill weave possible, opposed to what most other manufacturers cheap out on with their 1x1 weaves.
To top the light weight and quality features that our intake will offer, Carbon fiber is also hands down the best material to use when concerned about thermal efficiency. As you know, the hotter the air the less dense it is, meaning the cooler the air the more dense it will be, the more dense the air the more you can fit into your cylinders, more air + more fuel = MORE POWER.
Even compared to aluminum which nearly all aftermarket cold air intake are, Carbon fiber is up to 40x less heat conductive than aluminum, with most pro race teams even utilizing carbon fiber as exhaust heat shields and intakes in their race cars! The tight weave and pressed bonded molecules of impregnated carbon yields one of the highest heat insulated materials man can use, hence why Aerospace and even NASA utilize Dry Carbon Fiber for their ablative heat shields for reentry into Earth's atmosphere! Unlike plastic or even aluminum, which as mentioned absorbs heat at 40x the rate of carbon fiber, our HLP 4" Carbon Fiber Cold Air intake can withstand temperatures as high as 600°F. Along with that, we specifically routed our carbon fiber intake away from the hot engine and out of the engine bay, allowing it to pull cooler Air in from directly behind the driver side headlight and front bumper. All of this summed up means if you run our HLP 4" Carbon Fiber Intake you will be insuring your engine is breathing the coldest air possible, gaining the most power possible, while utilizing the lightest part possible….oh and dare we say it looks cool as hell too! ??
And lastly is our overall flow design. In the over 10 designs tested and between all the different pipe sizing's, we found the 4' to 3" to maintain and also increase air velocity through all of the required bends. Unlike the common misconception "a reduction is not a choke", a choke slows and restricts the air, where a reduction is just that, a reduction in the piping's ID Interior Dimensions which in turn also speeds the air up. Also unlike other 4" cold air intakes on the market that are just a pipe within a pipe and have zero transitioning, by utilizing the larger 4" ID on carbon piping end (behind the bumper and driver size headlight) we were able to bring that 4" section up to the tightest bend radius behind the battery, utilizing a soft radius REDUCTION throughout the turn, not only allowing the air to flow seamlessly between the transition but also speeding up the air velocity! The more air you can shove into the engine (aka air velocity, think very very small Turbo effect) the closer to 0psi atmospheric pressure the cylinders can pull air in. The more air you take in + more fuel = MORE POWER!

- Choose to add on a high flow Red 10" cone filter (best overall flow) or a high flow Black 9" cone filter (also very good flow, the red 10" just has a hair more). HP difference between the two is negligible and will not noticeably effect power. Please also note the filter is tucked behind the front bumper and driver side headlight, so when installed the filter isn't visible
- Choose your free coupler to fit either your HLP 79-81mm Drive By Wire Throttle Body, 68mm J30/J32/J35 Throttle Body or ZDX 78mm J37 Throttle body
- Intake Hanger/Filter Clamp, IAT Bung + Plug to allow you to run the IAT sensor in the intake or plug the bung (your choice) and metal breather/vaccun port are all included free of charge with the intake system

If you install this product on your vehicle and use the vehicle on a public highway or road, you will violate the clean air act and may be subject to personal civil or criminal liability, including fines.
* RETURNS & ORDER CANCELING POLICY*
- ALL ORDERS ARE SUBJECTED TO OUR (1) MONTH (28 DAYS) RETURN POLICY (THIS EXCLUDES ANY PORT AND POLISH PARTS, PNP PART RETURNS/CANCELLING IS BELOW). WE OFFER A NO HASSLE RETURN POLICY ON ANY PARTS WITHIN THE FIRST (28) DAYS OF YOUR PURCHASE. ALL PARTS MUST BE RETURNED IN THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITION, PACKAGING AND NEVER INSTALLED. A FULL INSPECTION WILL BE PERFORMED UPON RECEIVING THE ORDER/PARTS BACK TO US AND IF DETERMINED THE PART WAS INSTALLED OR MODIFIED/DAMAGED THE RETURN WILL BE DENIED. IF WE WERE AT FAULT OR AN ERROR OCCURED ON OUR END, WE WILL SUPPLY A FREE RETURN SHIPPING LABEL. IF THE ERROR WAS ON THE CUSTOMER SIDE OR THEY SIMPLY NO LONGER WANT THE PRODUCT WITHIN THAT FIRST 28 DAY POLICY, THEY CUSTOMER IS RESPONSBILE FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING COST, SETUP AND EXECUTION.
ALL REFUNDS AND RETURNS ARE SUBJECT TO A 3.5% CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION FEE. THIS IS DUE TO THE INITAL ORDER TRANSACTION FEE WE WERE CHARGED FOR YOUR ORDER, PLUS THE ADDITONAL REFUND TRANSACTION. THOUGH THERE ARE TWO TRANSACTION FEE'S CHARGED TO US, WE ARE ONLY CHARGING YOU FOR THE REFUND FEE.
- ANY PART RETURNED AFTER THE (28) DAY RETURN POLICY WILL BE SUBJECTED TO AN ADDITONAL 3.5% RESTOCKING FEE, BRINGING THE TOTAL FEE TO 7%.
- FOR TUNING ORDERS, NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED UNLESS NO TUNING OR REVISIONS HAVE BEEN STARTED. AFTER OUR FIRST REVISION/TUNE IS SENT TO OUR CUSTOMER VIA EMAIL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ALLOWED OR AUTHORIZED. THIS APPLIES FOR BOTH SINGLE SESSION (TUNE TILL RIGHT) AND LIFETIME TUNES.
- There are no returns accepted for any Port and Polish parts, due to the parts being modified and unable to be returned to their stock/original condition. There is no exception to this policy...EVER.
- If the customer selected to have HalferLand Performance source/provide a core part(s) and chooses to cancel their order prior to shipping or starting the modifications/porting, a 20% part cost restocking/sourcing fee will be assessed from the credit/return. Example, the core part provided cost $100, a 20% Restock/Sourcing fee of $20 will be deducted from the credit of the order. This is due to our cost to source, purchase, clean the part and now the order being cancelled, we now are forced to sit on the part with direct order being associated with it or that we can use it for.
- Order Cancelling may be done prior to the start of any modification or work and before shipping. If the parts modifications has already been begun or the parts has shipped, then the order cannot be canceled and will be filled/finished accordingly. If its a non PnP part and the order ships, the customer is responsible for returning the part/order using their preferred carrier. Our (28) Day Return Policy guidelines remain, parts must be returned in original packaging, never installed, modified or damaged.
