Redline Engine Oil Break In Additive
We are proud to now offer the tried and true Break In additive we have used here at HLP Products for years! All of our in house HLP Built Short or Long block receive the same additive to perform the engine break in cycle.
The first three driving cycles/oil changes are the most critical to seat your pistons rings and other components, and this Redline Break In Additive will help tremendously with that!
HUGE COST SAVINGS - This additive is compatible with ALL oils, though we suggest still sourcing the most affordable, base convential oil you can find to perform the engine break in. This additive will take the place of any actual "Break in oil" which can cost as much as $16 a quart (Amsoil) . At $16 a bottle x 9 quarts for the two break in cycles, you're looking at $135 + shipping (so $150 roughly), where sourcing base convential oil is around $50 for (2) 5qt jugs + $28 Redline Additive, and you end up saving nearly half the cost (including Amsoil shipping) to perform the same break in cycle with our Redline Break in Additive
Specifcally for the J-Series engine, this one bottle is good for (2) full treatments. So you will have the first start/drive cycle (add half a bottle to the oil) and then your first oil/filter change (add the second half of the bottle). Once you complete the second driving cycle you should drain the break in oil for the last time (plus new filter) and fill up with the oil you will normally run in the car. We always suggest a full syntheric, and if your engine is 100k miles or more, we suggest a 5w-30 (colder climates) or 10w-30 (warmer climates) , 10-40 hard driving or racing (50 weight in big boy stuff)
- First oil, first start and first 50 miles of driving (add half a bottle of addititive to your oil before starting the engine for the first time)
- Second oil and filter cylcle (first change techncially) + another 100-250 miles (add second half of the bottle to your engine oil)
- Third oil / last oil change for the break in procedure, switch to your normal full synthetic oil, drive another 500-1000 miles.
- New filter and oil one more time...and done, drive normally
- Provides conventional motor oils with antiwear additives like zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) necessary to protect against camshaft and valvetrain damage on break-in
- Allow pistons rings to seat properly with less-slick oil, while antiwear additives protect other engines components to avoid excessive wear
- Can also be used in conventional and synthetic oils during regular operation, providing an extra package of protection otherwise not found in most motor oils
- 16oz bottle treats up to 12 quarts of motor oil--in many cases, one bottle can serve two engines or oil changes

A FULL INSPECTION WILL BE PERFORMED UPON RECEIVING THE ORDER/PARTS BACK TO US AND IF DETERMINED THE PART WAS INSTALLED OR MODIFIED/DAMAGED THE RETURN WILL BE DENIED.

- ANY PART RETURNED AFTER THE (28) DAY RETURN POLICY WILL BE SUBJECTED TO A 3% RESTOCKING FEE.
- FOR TUNING ORDERS, NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED UNLESS NO TUNING OR REVISIONS HAVE BEEN STARTED. AFTER OUR FIRST REVISION/TUNE IS SENT TO OUR CUSTOMER VIA EMAIL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ALLOWED OR AUTHORIZED. THIS APPLIES FOR BOTH SINGLE SESSION (TUNE TILL RIGHT) AND LIFETIME TUNES.
- Port And Polish - Order Cancelling may be done prior to the start of any modification or work and before shipping. If the parts modifications has already been begun or the parts has shipped, then the order cannot be canceled and will be filled/finished accordingly. If its a non PnP part and the order ships, the customer is responsible for returning the part/order using their preferred carrier. Our (28) Day Return Policy guidelines remain, parts must be returned in original packaging, never installed, modified or damaged.
- There are no returns accepted for any Port and Polish parts, due to the parts being modified and unable to be returned to their stock/original condition. There is no exception to this policy...EVER.
