Our HLP 79mm TB requires a 3.25" Coupler on the TB side, to whatever size intake Pipe you're running.
Example - If you're running a 3" Cold air intake, you would need a 3.25" ID to 3" ID Intake Coupler

- IT DOES NOT FIT J37 INTAKE MANIFOLDS.

* NOTE - Some call the ZDX a 80mm throttle body. That's misleading as the OD (outside diameter) is indeed 80mm, HOWEVER the ID/Interior Dimension of the inlet is only 78mm, as we show in our listing images. Here at HLP Products we measure what counts and where the air passes through....aka THE ID OF THE INLET.
Our HLP 79mm Throttle Body requires NO ADAPTER PLATE as ZDX/MDX 78mm in order to bolt to J30, J32, J35 Manifolds
If your running a Drive by Cable Intake Manifold our Throttle Body may still be plug n play for many J32/J35's but obviously your car must be setup for drive by wire setup (ECU runs the throttle body). Some may run the older 3 piece Gen 1 manifold in an "All Out" NA or forced induction vehicles and wanting to take advantage of the larger volume of the IM when the Turbo/SC can make up for the loss in velocity (adding volume slows the air down, Turbo/SC makes up for that)
- Our HLP 79/72mm Throttle Body will NOT have any coolant ports...meaning a Throttle Body Coolant Bypass/Delete is required.
Unlike the name "coolant" portrays, that fluid is usually 220-230°+ and actually heats the throttle body up. By eliminating the ports and coolant through the TB we ensured we offer the coolest running throttle body on the market.
This mod is VERY easy and we do offer our HLP TB coolant bypass delete kit (plug n play) which you can add to your order from the drop down selection menu. Our kit includes everything you need to perform the service, with you simply utilizing our kit to route the two TB coolant lines back into each...that's it, you just performed a TB coolant by pass (also helps lower IAT's by not passing hot coolant through the TB)
-This is a DRIVE BY WIRE THROTTLE BODY, so if your vehicle is equipped to only run a cable throttle body, this will not work.
Our HLP 79/72mm TB will come standard with the following.......
- All Stainless Steel, Hex Key Low Profile Installation Hardware
-Map sensor hose and clamps (NO MAP SENSOR, can add HLP 4bar in drop down)
-Map sensor chrome spacer
- Map sensor bolt
- (1) 72mm thick foam gasket (matching TB outlet)
OPTIONAL ADD ON's
- PORT AND POLISH , increasing inlet to 81mm opening and the outlet side is left at 72mm to maintain velocity through the Throttle Body.
NOTE - This will remove the anodized finish on the inlet interior but won't hurt or Ill effect performance at all..it's the same process as all of our other PnP Parts

DESCRIPTION
Well, we're at it again. We are very proud to now offer the LARGEST J-Series drive by wire throttle body on the market, even over the 78/70mm ZDX (some call the ZDX 80mm which is misleading, the OD is indeed 80mm but the ID/Interior Dimension of the inlet is only 78mm...here at HLP we measure what matters, the ID which air passes through) which requires an adapter plate or to purchase an expensive J37 manifold just to run it.
Our HLP 79/72 Throttle Body is bolt on ready/plug n play for all Drive By Wire J30, J32, J35 Intake manifolds AND will not require any adapter or the need to purchase an expensive J37 manifold just to get the right bolt pattern...for the same price as a ZDX you can now purchase our larger HLP 79/72mm Throttle Body, not pay $150 for a spacer to run on a J30, J32 or J35 or not have to buy an expensive ($500) J37 Intake Manifold...which we have shown after our HLP Stage 2 PnP on a J35 Magnesium IM we made the same power as a J37 Magnesium with our Stage 2 PnP .... so why waste money on an upgrade that won't gain after PnP??
Our HLP Throttle body will also come Anodized In black as standard, which Anodizing has heat dissipating properties and will reject heat soak from the surrounding engine bay. Cooler Air = Denser Air = More Air = MORE POWER!
Along with that all of our TB's will be CNC machined from solid 6061 Billet Aluminum.
For those who wish you can also add our HLP matching 72mm Throttle Body spacer for more torque down low, or opt out for more top end power.
You can also add our HLP Thermal Gaskets, to once again, aid in cutting down IAT's...as either a single gasket on the IM side or a sandwich setup with one on each side of our HLP 72mm TB Spacer.
It's highly suggested in order to gain the most from our TB that you have your Intake manifold inlet opened and matched to our 72mm outlet opening on our throttle body, but it's not required. Of course we offer this service under our Stage 1-3 Port and Polish Intake Manifolds. Please specify when ordering the PnP IM that you'll be running our HLP Throttle Body so we can match the openings perfectly.

- There are no returns accepted for any Port and Polish parts, due to the parts being modified and unable to be returned to their stock/original condition. There is no exception to this policy...EVER.
- If the customer selected to have HalferLand Performance source/provide a core part(s) and chooses to cancel their order prior to shipping or starting the modifications/porting, a 20% part cost restocking/sourcing fee will be assessed from the credit/return. Example, the core part provided cost $100, a 20% Restock/Sourcing fee of $20 will be deducted from the credit of the order. This is due to our cost to source, purchase, clean the part and now the order being cancelled, we now are forced to sit on the part with direct order being associated with it or that we can use it for.
- Order Cancelling may be done prior to the start of any modification or work and before shipping. If the parts modifications has already been begun or the parts has shipped, then the order cannot be canceled and will be filled/finished accordingly. If its a non PnP part and the order ships, the customer is responsible for returning the part/order using their preferred carrier. Our (28) Day Return Policy guidelines remain, parts must be returned in original packaging, never installed, modified or damaged.
