As touched on, Hypereutectic alloy is far superior in regards to load capabilities and abuse, allowing for our tested and warrantied 800hp guarantee.. but ultimately if wanting 1000+HP true forging is a better alternative. The article also explains why we are able to or suggest running our pistons without requiring  oversized pistons or over boring as some other materials may require. Simply put Hypereutectic alloy has a higher thermal threshold, as well as a larger expansion rate and usually in every case we have come across, even with a high mileage engine it can still spec out to clearance limits after the engine is up to temp. This is why we call for the OEM outside stock limits for Piston to Wall clearance of .0016" - .0040" in. If you intend to push for the upper horsepower limits of the pistons (800+HP) sometime even more Piston to Wall clearance may be warranted by your builder...it's best to discuss that with them.

Product Description
We are extremely proud to announce our final step in offering the normal DIY/Garage Built Honda J-Series Enthusiast the ability to build their own 400-800hp J-Series motor from home. The final piece to this puzzle is our brand new HalferLand Performance 800+hp J32/J35 89mm Hypereutectic Pistons (Some also call this type of piston "Semi-Forged" pistons). We spent many days and nights developing our pistons and coming to the final design you see now. We wanted to offer a robust, sturdy piston, but also one that would not break the bank and still allow our customer to achieve there horsepower goals and stay within their budget....AND WE DID IT!
 Hypereutectic pistons (High Silicone Content and Heat Treated for added resiliency) are not new to this industry, with the majority of the large automotive manufacturers utilizing "hyper" pistons on their factory forced induction vehicles, such as Audi-BMW-Toyota-etc. with their stock pistons exceeding 800-1000whp.  Here is a brief link if you want to read up more on the material and piston.
"Hyper" pistons are capable of withstanding the higher heat and loads caused from forced induction, Nitrous and even High Strung to Daily NA engine setups.... along with great resiliency to heat soak which can lead to detonation and ultimate engine damage. To add another layer of protection all of our HalferLand Pistons will come standard with Ceramic Coated Domes to withstand even higher cylinder temps (Resisting knock in Boosted or NA setups), while also cooling and resisting heat   for extreme cylinder pressures (AKA Boost!). Along with the Ceramic dome our pistons will also come standard with the thickest and strongest HLP 1000hp J-Series HORNED wrist pins (OD is the same and will still fit OEM and aftermarket Rods), brand new C-Clips to hold the wrist pins and Lastly, our pistons also come standard with our Moly "Glide" Side Skirt Treatment (Not Standard Moly treatment, our "Glide" treatment is a hybrid ceramic and moly treatment which promotes greater lifespan) to ensure smooth operation for the pistons within the cylinders.

Our "Hyper" Pistons will come in the standard 89mm bore (Standard J32/J35 Bore) so no over boring of your cylinders required as other Over Bore/ Oversized aftermarket pistons (You can still safely re-hone the cylinders if needed). The pistons are also based off the Honda J35z pistons, bringing the compression to a safe Boost capable compression of 10.5:1 for J35 engines and 9.5:1 for J32 engines (Head milling can be performed to fine tune compression if needed. We will come out with other compression ratio pistons down the road).

DONT LISTEN TO HATTERS
So I've followed HalferLand for quite some time now on IG , Youtube, and Facebook. Some were saying these pistons are knock offs or the same as aftermarkets pistons or some crap like that, you know how FB is. I can tell you they are far from that. Once you get your hands on these you can immediately see and feel the quality. My engine builder also stated they fit and installed perfectly with zero issue, and we also are running the Halferland 1000hp J35 rods and the car is runnning amazing. . I plan and Turboing my 12' Accord 6mt soon but at the moment run 100 shot of nitrous with Halferland pistons and rods and have had a best 1/4 mile of 12.4 @ 115mph with the car putting down 373whp & 380wtq ...yeah shes a torque monster on spray LOL. 4 months since the build with HalferLand Pistons and Rods and running amazing, next step is Turbo and 700whp ;)

We purhcased halferland PnP TB, stage 2 cams picked up 27whp and just dropped these pistons in. we wanted to install before review and we are extremely happy with all our purchases from halferland. the pistons dropped right in and worked as advertised. we were even able to add in 2* more timing then the stock pistons, not sure if thats from the heat soak being less, compression is the same so has to be that. will be buying more

Will buy again for sure!
I was so excited to find HalferLand Performance. Saw some negative stuff on a FB forums and also watched their YT videos and thought maybe he was just whining but decided to pull the trigger And now know personally those people were straight liars and obvious have some grudge nd never even handled HalferLand products. That surprised me as they were big name in the game (Andy Gerzy Bear, Chris Boyette and others) . I was cautious and orders their EGR plate to start, Since then the Piston completing my J35 build we have, then block guards, Rods, EGR, pulley, fuel adapter, oil adapter and every single product has been perfect and exactly what he said it would be. Customer service is also very good, always respond in a day or two where others never replied at all. I would definitely recommend HalferLand

Extremely Happy!!
I can honestly say you get what you pay for, but in this case you get WAY MORE!! I priced out forged pistons at over $1000-$1400, and after much research learned of the ill effects forged pistons could have on a daily driven high HP engine. I then found Halferlands pistons and after more research found many benefits to their "Hyper" pistons over forged (less wear on cylinders, better thermal expansion rates, comes standard with anodizing in multiple area's). Anyways. I've been runnng Halferland hyper pistons in my boosted TL (Dynoed 607whp at 18psi but run daily around 500ish) and have had ZERO ISSUES. I have even taken a bore scope to the cylinder to find the pistons looking almost brand new, with the Logo still present....that's quality folks at a great price!

Underrated!!
Halferlands pistons are underrated in my opinion.. The quality of the pistons are superb and on the level on Wiesco, JE, etc. in regards to the form, fitment and precision. I've been familiar with Hyper pistons for some time now coming from BMW engines, which they use them in stock engines and can easily boost the N54 to 800+. With the extra safee guards Halferland puts on these ,Anodized dome, anoidzied top rings, Moly side skirt and larger wrist pins make these just that much stronger so I see these being capable of more. Great part man, will be back for more

DIY MUST
A Must if f your building your own motor. Didn't want to splurge on forged pistons and on top of that as their description states forged isn't the best for higher Hp Daily driven motors with the expansion rates where these expand like stock and reduce wear . 12k miles easy on them and no issues. Insta was easy and fit perect, plus saved money and just honed it. If you building your own motor I suggest getting these pistons, their Rods and block guards and as long as you take measurements and go by the book with a good motor to start, you have an extremely affordable motor that will handle 800hp+.

just what I needed
For one, the price on these cannot be beat. They are more affordable by nearly half than forged pistons and unless you're going 1000+whp, these will work great. I installed these back in 2021 (so over a year running these) into my high compression J32 Nitrous build into a mud cart, making 520whp with a 200shot on N20. We have torched stock piston in the past, but it seems these Halfeland pistons run cooler, which I believe its from the anodized dome and from what they say the Hyper material also runs cooler which is great for boost, nitrous and hell even NA. All engines can added more timing with a cooler combustion temp, and that's exactly what happened. On stock pistons and running 13:1 compression I could only run around 22* of timing at WOT but with these pistons I was able to put as much as 25-26* and picked up nearly 60whp just from the piston change and being able to add all the timing while spraying. OVERALL I LOVE THESE AND ALREADY BOUGH A SECOND SET FOR A NEW MOTOR BUILD WHICH IM GOING TURBO NOW

This industry is terrible
It's a shame HalferLand gets the flack as they do sometimes. I've seen pages just tearing into them with no proof or people actually running their parts. At first this even steered me away from them, but reading reviews I knew someone had to be wrong. I initially purchased their cams for my 06 3.2 TL MT because they actually showed gains and dynos, when no one else does. So all those people talking to really seemed off to me...and I'm glad I didn't listen. The car feels insane now, especially from 4000 to my 7400rpm redline. I ended up bundling in their valve springs and cams and still running stock retainers which they said can be done as long as your not sitting on the limiter constantly and below 7500rpm. So next step is building my block with their pistons, rods and block guards for boost. I also picked up their Big boy radiator, again people claiming stuff and all I can say is that they earned by business hands down.

Initially figured why not
Ok I'm going to post the same review I did for their Rods and cylinder supports. Going into building my S2000 swapped J35a4 I spoke to Sean at P2R and Eric I believe at SlickFab. I'll be 100 with all you, those two companies are apparently either fearful of HPP or just don't like them. SlickFab came off as arrogant and straight up salty, just laying into HPP owner, Sean was some what more reserved but pretty much the same. Being competition I took it with a grain of salt and damn happy I did. HPP parts are affordable and soild. As the title stated I figured "why not" because they guarantee and stand behind all their products for 1 yr which is insane and no one does in the performance industry, so I figured even if I break them I'll just get replacements. Well, build is finished, pushed their pistons, Cylinder guards and rods well into 900whp, not engine, to the wheels, backed it down for Time attack here in TX and this entire season had zero issues around 600-750whp constantly, back to back events, multiple runs each event. So pretty much take any competitions words with a grain of salt, Because they sure are salty when speaking about HPP...maybe their pocket book is getting hit and they don't like that. Anyways to HPP keep up the amazing work and I'll definitely be coming back, maybe sponsorship next season?? LOL

FYI, I'm just duplicating my reviews for all their products being I ran nothing but HLP Products in my build. They truly deserve praise Personally I've had incredible experience with HLP. There customer service has been great, helpful and insightful. Even helping me with deeper dive questions for my build. Initially I wanted 600hp to the wheels but they advised me due to trans limitations the safer limit would be 500 at the wheel. Well, I had all winter last year to get the car ready, missed most of summer but my 92 Civic Coupe with a J35a3 is finished and running all of HLP lower end parts, their block guards, rods, pistons and now studs. Matched with the built heads they did for me, basically their Stage 2 cams, spring and retainer package, I just got Dyno tuned and made more then I was trying to. So the very first conservative first pull made 565 and 440 on 14psi. I swapped the waste gate spring to 8lbs which was the lightest the tuner had on hand, some more timing and it made 500whp right on the nose ?? HLP really does offer amazing products and they shine when paired together. Thank you guys!

Ordered block guards, pistons, king bearings and rods. The pistons as well as everything else installed perfectly. They are very nice quality. Packing lube was a little dried out but some carb cleaner got it all off, but really you should clean all the parts before install anyways. Besides that zero complaint. . So I would have to definitely recommend them. FYI HLP provides coupon codes if you leave store reviews, novel idea.
